In 2016 Motul was the first lubricant manufacturer to develop and bring to market a dedicated range of oils specifically for hybrid vehicles (HEV) and plug-in hybrid electric vehicles (PHEV).
Following the initial launch of the Hybrid range, Motul have introduced the NGEN HYBRID range, which includes up to 25% renewable, bio-sourced raw materials and is formulated to reduce engine friction. The NGEN range also utilizes 50% recycled plastic for packaging
These oils are designed to handle the unique demands of hybrid engines, such as frequent stop-start cycles, lower engine operating temperatures, and the need for low-viscosity, fuel-efficient lubricants (0W-8, 0W-12, 0W-16, 0W-20).
