i30n Power Increase compliments of ITG Foam Air Filters
The i30n is the latest hot hatch to join the tuning market compliments of Hyundai and performance air filter brand, ITG are one of the first to offer performance enhancing products.
The UK based filter company have released their Maxogen Cold Air Intake System, which improves the i30’s airflow in several key ways.  This quality intake kit uses a pre-oiled conical foam filter housed in a high quality aluminium airbox. The increased surface area of the filter greatly improves the flow and filtration characteristics of the induction system, providing gains in power, torque, throttle response and induction noise.Â

The high-performance Tri-Foam filter re-routes the airflow more efficiently and effectively through the engine bay and the aluminium airbox in place of the more restrictive factory setup is also an advantage. Finally, the cold air intake system is set up to allow cooler air to easily flow into your engine by routing the intake feed away from any heat source that might compromise results.
The i30N comes with a hot 2.0 T-GDI turbocharged powerplant producing either 247 or 275hp direct from the factory, but with the ITG Air Filters intake kit fitted, the car sees significant gains with this simple bolt-on modification. Independent dyno testing has showed the ITG Maxogen kit to produce up to 10hp across the rev range at the same time giving the engine a purposeful growl without being too loud.
